Rosewood Cakes are a multi-award winning wedding cake studio based just outside Uddingston, Glasgow, serving prestige venues across Scotland.
Run by husband and wife team Chris & Edwina McNulty, we are dedicated to making sensational wedding cakes and fabulous birthday cakes that are centrepieces to your event. Each cake design is bespoke, each flower meticulously hand-crafted from sugar. Our gourmet sponges are as full in flavour as they are in their style.

Rosewood cakes is run by us, husband and wife team Chris and Edwina McNulty from our studio just outside Uddingston, Glasgow. Since starting our wedding cake business five years ago, we have quickly developed a reputation for being one of Scotland’s best wedding cake makers. We absolutely love our job, we love creating beautiful and elegant wedding cakes, and we love our brides and grooms! It is such a positive, affirming experience to work in weddings and we feel very lucky indeed.
We design and create our luxury wedding cakes from our Newton Farm studio, strictly by appointment only. We have a lot of enquiries and unfortunately we can’t accommodate drop-in meetings, much as we love chatting about cake! WEDDING CAKE FLAVOURS - SENSATIONAL SPONGES FOR FOODIES!
When we were planning our wedding at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow, neither of us worked in the wedding industry. We would never have believed that one day we would create the most beautiful designer wedding cakes for a living, and deliver our cakes all over Scotland! One of the reasons Rosewood Cakes was started was when we were looking at booking our wedding cake, and could not find any cakes that were remotely exciting. The same generic cake flavours were always on offer, and we thought - where are the wedding cake flavours for people who just love food? One of the most exciting aspects of our job creating luxury wedding cakes is the fun we have in the kitchen, dreaming up new cake flavours, trialling our new sponges, and of course, eating them! We’re never short of volunteers when we’re looking for people to test our new cakes!
On our cake menus we have listed the most popular requests, but we will create any cake flavour you like. We love a challenge, and so far have created requests for wedding cakes in courgette and lime, yuzu and coconut, purple yam, hibiscus and chai and fig and orange. We always fully book and are grateful to be in high demand for our wedding cakes, we do on occasion make birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, corporate cakes, engagement cakes, communion cakes, baptism cakes, christening cakes, mehndi cakes, walima cakes, graduation cakes, cupcakes, cookies, dessert tables, wedding favours…… if it requires a cake then we’ll bake it for you!

We receive so many requests for wedding cakes you might think that they’re the only cakes that come out of our wee Glasgow kitchen! But we cater for all celebration cakes, particularly birthday cakes and all special occasions and all events. If you want a fabulous cake, then we’ll make it! Birthday cakes are a very popular request, we just rarely get around to posting our birthday cakes on social media. We specialise in sensational milestone birthday cakes that are centrepieces at a birthday party., but we are happy to create a little beautiful cake for you also. We can do bespoke individual cake toppers, and make sure that every cake we create is as unique as the birthday girl or birthday boy!
